Maleny Handyman & Horticulture Service appreciate we have an obligation to be socially and environmentally conscious in every part of our business. That is why we are committed to sustainable and responsible work practices. We achieve this by:

· Planning our path to Net Zero Emissions as new technologies become available.

· Investing in the latest energy efficient tools as others reach end of lifecycle.

· Ethical sourcing of consumables

· Ensuring the full lifecycle of our tools is realised by completing recommended maintenance practices.

· Full compliance with environmental regulations

· Annual environmental impact assessments

· Ongoing training programs for staff to ensure an efficient and safe workplace environment.

· Customer consultation and education to reduce unnecessary use of high energy consumption tools.

· Ensuring all green waste is recycled onsite where possible.

· Giving back to the community by supporting the local school and hiring school leavers

· Supporting our local land care groups - Barung Landcare, Maroochy River Landcare and Hinterland Bush Links by donating services and equipment for use on working days.

About Maleny Handyman & Horticulture Service

Our Foundations

Upon finishing high school Ben committed to a 5 yr apprenticeship as a maintenance fitter on Australia's largest mushroom farm. This trade is multifaceted, providing skills in carpentry, metal engineering, plumbing and machinery maintenance to name a few. The next phase was a metal engineering company for another 5 yrs before a working outdoors career began calling. After completing Cert III in Horticulture and Conservation and Land Management, Maleny Handyman and Horticulture service was born in 2018. Starting as a basic maintenance business it has evolved with a deeper understanding of our surroundings and the importance of working to improve ecosystems to nurture and enhance the diversity of all living things.
